The physicians at Southern Psychiatric T.M.S. created a outpatient psychiatric practice in 2017 to provide a high level of comprehensive mental health services to the south Atlanta area.  It was quickly evident that there is a lack of providers serving our community and SPP was formed to provide evidence-based Psychiatric care in a comfortable setting.

In 2019, Dr. Savage and Dr. McQuirt decided to open a new facility that could offer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation to clients whose depression symptoms have not responded to traditional treatments, including psychotherapy and psychotropic medications. Also, the doctors of SPTMS wanted to offer an alternative to individuals who can not tolerate the side effects of psychotropic interventions or take medication classes for other reasons. Using feedback and experience gained from operating Southern Psychiatric Professionals, SPTMS was created to provide a comfortable environment to provide TMS in patient-centered setting. For clients already familiar with the treatment philosophy of SPP, SPTMS will not disappoint.

Southern Psychiatric T.M.S. offers flexible appointments to help clients and their families fit their mental health treatment into busy daily schedules.  We also tailored our practice to provide clients with timely appointments, flexible scheduling, and adequate time during TMS sessions to address individual client issues.  Furthermore, SPTMS values client feedback and strive to routinely improve the services we provide.   

 SPTMS is currently in-network for Medicare, Aetna, BCBS, Tricare, and United Healthcare.
